Ahmed Ali Mohamed

Hello Sharon community!

I am a proud father of three, with two young children attending Sharon School. My oldest graduated from Sharon High School. So, my family had the opportunity to experience Sharon schools across all levels, and will be deeply invested in the long term success of Sharon schools.

I am an electrical engineer by profession, working in the semiconductor industry. I graduated from Alexandria University, one of Egypt's most competitive universities, and then earned my MSc from SUNY Binghamton. As an immigrant, having lived in the US since 2005, I deeply value the many different ideas and prespectives which Sharon's diversity brings to our town.

As an electrical engineer, I know the importance of a strong academic background in math and sciences. My professional career also requires a problem-solving mindset using analytical thinking which seeks to optimize all the resources available, and I think this approach will also be helpful as a member of the Sharon school committee.

I strongly believe in giving back to the community. After moving to Massachusetts in 2010, I joined volunteers every weekend serving in soup kitchen in Boston and Cambridge. After couple of years of helping in the Boston community, I started to volunteer locally at Islamic Center of New England in Sharon. I see joining Sharon School Committee as an opportunity to serve all people in our town.

I ask for your vote on May 21, 2024 to help me make my vision of academic excellence, responsible budget, and unity for Sharon schools a reality.
